SelectTech Services Corporation today announced the launch of its integrated modular sensitive information secure shelter systems built to SCIF standards.

Most modular SCIF designers and manufacturers have one offering: a massively heavy steel box. SelectTech offers a next generation alternative with functionality customers need, including full-system integration, and makes the shelters easy to acquire. SelectTech’s lightweight integrated modular secure shelters are designed and manufactured in the company’s Ohio-based facility. Their domestic production reduces cost, and production times and allows for direct customer interaction to customize the enclosures to meet their mission needs.

These easily transportable secure systems are one-third the weight of traditional modular steel enclosures, which eliminates the necessity for specialized trucks or cranes to get them on and off C-130 and C-17 aircraft during transportation. The shelters are also designed to meet stringent Air Transportability Test Loading Activity (ATTLA) height requirements for use on military aircraft and can be transported by trucks able to handle 8-by 20-foot cargo containers.

A unique aluminum frame increases mobility while the metal-infused composite panels suppress electronic emissions and act as insulation to outside temperatures and sound. The enclosures provide an intrusion detection system and physical protections, including a high-security combination lock, secure keypad, motion detection sensors, a light system with blackout capabilities, and sensors on the front door and emergency escape hatch. These shelters meet modified ICD 705 standards for the construction, maintenance and management of fixed installations and ASTM E84 Class 1 construction specifications. Additionally, the electrical system is designed with electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters to meet TEMPEST standards. With built in power convertors to give customers the power they need, when they need it, each shelter can be powered from shore, generator, or other power sources anywhere in the world.

SelectTech’s modular, secure shelters are engineered for all Department of Defense and US Government uses and are currently being built for and deployed by a Department of the Air Force organization. SelectTech also offers other shelter variants, including more basic non-EMI shelters, and transit cases for shipping communications or other equipment to complement the systems.
